Al Gonzalez, soc, is an Executive Producer and Director, a “get it done” business coach, a Certified Mediator with the California Lawyers for the Arts in Sacramento and Co-Founder of River City Studios. Al has been in the film and television business for over 25 years. He began his career in radio, moving into live theater, then film and TV production.
With hundreds of hours of media experience, including corporate, music videos, documentary, feature films, and broadcast television productions, he has traveled to nine countries and is a sought after speaker at schools and business groups.
Always active in the business community and arts, Mr. Gonzalez served as an ambassador for the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, was named Ambassador for University of Southern California (USC), and served on the Board of the Entertainment Industry Business Council for the Century City Chamber of Commerce. He is also a graduate and valedictorian of the Southern California Leadership Network Program for the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Gonzalez is a Technical Producer and Director of award shows, large-scale banquets and galas. As Technical Producer and Director, Al assumes responsibility for everything from venue selection, production logistics (staging, sound, lighting, special effects, power, and equipment acquisition), coordination of live engineering, stage management, managing talent, directing the event, to (one of his personal favorites) announcing.
Al believes in giving back to the community and has served on the Boards of the Boys & Girls Club of Hollywood and the Hollywood Police Activities League. In Sacramento, he served as President and Executive Director of the Sacramento Police Activities League. He has served on the Roseville Police Activities League, where he was a Board Member/Vice President. Al is also a member and Co-Chair for the Society of Camera Operator’s Nor-Cal chapter.
